Turk Pipkin is the co-founder of the global education nonprofit The Nobelity Project (www.nobelity.org) and the director of three feature documentaries about global problems and solutions – Nobelity, One Peace at a Time and Building Hope (Audience Award winner at SXSW Film Festival).

Turk is the author of ten books including the NY Times bestseller, THE TAO OF WILLIE, coauthored with American music legend, Willie Nelson (Avery, May 10, 2007). Turk’s novel WHEN ANGELS SING (Algonquin Books, January 10, 1999) was adapted into the feature film Angel Sing starring Harry Connick Jr., Willie Nelson and Connie Britton. Turk’s golf books include the classic Texas novel, FAST GREENS (St. Martin’s Griffin, May 27, 2014) and THE OLD MAN AND THE TEE (St. Martin’s Griffin; Reprint edition October 1, 2005), which chronicles his year with some of the best teachers in the game.

As an actor, Turk has had recurring roles in two critically acclaimed HBO series, The Sopranos (as Janice’s narcoleptic boyfriend Aaron Arkaway) and The Leftovers (as the iconic Pillar Man). His feature film roles include Waiting for Guffman, The Alamo, Friday Night Lights and Rick Linklater’s Scanner Darkly

Turk’s magazine stories have appeared in publications including Esquire, Playboy, Golf Digest and Texas Monthly.
