Suzanne O’Malley is a columnist at Avenue magazine. Her investigative reporting, articles and reviews have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, The New York Times Book Review, People, O, the Oprah Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Esquire Magazine, New York Magazine and Playboy, among others. She has been an independent producer and on-air News Consultant for MSNBC and NBC.

Suzanne has developed and written scripts for Universal Studios, HBO; BBC; Comedy Central; Columbia Pictures; Warner Bros. Pictures and Fox, among others, in addition to having written for NBC’s Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victim’s Unit and New York Undercover. She adapted her bestselling book, How to Avoid Love and Marriage  for HBO television, produced the documentary, Unborn in the USA: Inside the War on Abortion, and is the former Associate Director of the Yale Summer Film Institute.

As an actress, Suzanne’s television credits include NBC’s Law & Order, ABC’S Loving and HBO and Showtime Comedy shorts as well as “sit down” comedy on the Today Show, Donahue, and TV and radio shows in 27 cities across the country and in Great Britain. She is also author of the Edgar-nominated book, “Are You There Alone?,” The Unspeakable Crime of Andrea Yates.

Suzanne was raised in Dallas and is a graduate of The University of Texas. She lives in Austin.
