Michael Montgomery is an award-winning and Daytime Emmy nominated writer.
Michael received a B.S. in Radio, Television, and Film from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a member of the Writers Guild of America and the Directors Guild of America.
Since 2003, Michael has worked for the CBS daytime drama, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS as a Production Assistant, Script & Story Coordinator, Staff Writer – Dialogue, script editor and a breakdown and script writer. He and his writing team received the 2013 Writers Guild of America award for Outstanding Script – Daytime Drama.
Michael got his start in the business working on The Price is Right, Late Late Show, and The Bold and the Beautiful for CBS Broadcasting in Los Angeles.
Michael was born and raised in Austin. Based in Los Angeles, he is able to split his time between both cities.
