Jaimee Harris began playing guitar at age five, and she started writing songs almost immediately and she hasn’t stopped.

Jaimee has captured the audiences of living rooms, sold out clubs, and listening rooms with her unique blend of pop melodies and fold rooted lyrics. Since making Austin her home in 2009, she has found herself working with some of the city’s finest (Jimmy LaFave, The Purgatory Players, The Bump Band).

Jaimee has recently been hard at work in the studio on her first solo record with Austin producer Craig Ross (Patty Griffin, Spoon).

Jaimee was born in Nacogdoches, Texas and raised in Waco. Drawing from musical influences as diverse as Patty Griffin and The Nerves, Jaimee’s musical palette is as broad as it is deep. Over the past few years, she has played many solo gigs in Austin, including a residency at Cactus Cafe, in addition to providing background vocals for various artists, including William Harries Graham and The Painted Redstarts, Charlie Faye, and Garrett Owen.  Last week, she opened the Jimmy LaFave Songwriter Rendezvous at the Paramount Theatre. She has also played with and opened for such artists as Peter Case, The Black Crowes, Bob Schneider, Matt Nathanson, Jessie Baylin, Jon Randall, and Jack Ingram.
