Allyson Whipple was born in Ohio and now makes her home in Austin, Texas. Identifying primarily as a poet of place, she draws much of her inspiration from the wide-ranging landscapes that surround her. Allyson’s work has most recently appeared in the San Antonio Express-News and Southern Women’s Review. Her chapbook, We’re Smaller Than We Think We Are, is forthcoming from Finishing Line Press. Allyson is the director of the Austin Feminist Poetry Festival.
