Are risk-takers born or made? Why are some people more willing to take risk than others? How do we weigh the value of opportunities that might change the course of our lives?

These are a few of the questions she answers in her new book, THE ART OF RISK:  THE NEW SCIENCE OF COURAGE, CAUTION & CHANCE, (Penguin Random House, 2016)

(According to Forbes, at any rate…) Her first book, the irreverent and funny, THIS IS YOUR BRAIN ON SEX: THE SCIENCE BEHIND THE SEARCH FOR LOVE (Simon & Schuster, 2013), takes on the age-old question, “What is love?” from a neurobiological perspective.

Kayt earned a BS in cognitive psychology from Carnegie Mellon University and a MS in engineering psychology from the Georgia Institute of Technology. A passionate traveler, Kayt’s also a frequent contributor to National Geographic Traveler and the Travel Savvy Mom website.

What critics say about  THE ART OF RISK:
