Martha Louise HunterMartha Louise Hunter has a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Texas. She was born and raised in West Texas.

After writing magazine articles and working in politics, real estate and owning homebuilding and interior decorating companies, she now has an estate jewelry business,

With four children between them, she and her husband, novelist and screenwriter David Marion Wilkinson live in Austin, Texas.

Dean Lofton has been a freelance writer most of her career. She has worked in media and entertainment, written for daily papers, alternative weeklies, magazines and websites where she has covered city government, natural health and healing, alternative health care, spirituality and feminist issues. Her credits include: commentary in Austin Monthly and Austin American-Statesman; columns in the original skirt! Magazine; the (Charleston) Post and Courier and the (Columbia, SC alt weekly) The Free Times; and articles and reporting for the Free Times, Columbia Business Journal, Charleston Regional Business Journal, Point and more.
Since 1997 Lofton has designed and taught non-academic, community writing workshops such as Write Your Life as a Woman, Collecting Your Memories and the Closet Fiction Writer’s Workshop. She also offers one-to-one coaching sessions for writing projects.
