All the Houses -- Karen Olssonen olssonBuilding on WATERLOO, her shrewd and witty first novel, Karen returns to her Washington, D.C. roots with ALL THE HOUSES, writing about a Reagan administration official whose career is ended by the Iran-Contra scandal, and his family, which subsequently falls apart.

Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Karen now lives in Austin, Texas with her family.

What critics are saying about ALL THE HOUSES:

A rich exploration of the stubborn strangeness of parents and siblings… An illuminating story about the nameless victims of political scandal — Washington Post

A funny, sweet and beautifully written novel —  NPR

A rich moment in political history … distilled through its long-term impact on a disjointed Washington family — Kirkus Reviews
